As Glastonbury came to an end at the weekend, it was just the start of a flurry of festivals that will grace our lands for the rest of the Summer. There will also be carnivals, parties, and musical events

where we will dress up, be creative and show off who we are!!!

The team at NMS have created some looks and colours to give you some inspo for any events you might be attending.

This look was created by our Director Neil Moodie. Neil took different coloured wool from a company called Trokt. The wool is thick and bold.

Neil sectioned the hair off into 4 sections and braided the hair into cornrows, where he intertwined the wool amongst the braids.

This is a stand out look that will get you noticed at any festival and will last a couple of days.

One of our new colourists Clare created this colour on her clients long hair. After creating a great base colour to work with, Clare worked in various smoky beachy corals with the use of Crazy Color to give us this fun look that could also be dressed out with a soft wave and some cool hair accessories.

This absolutely stunning pink colour is by another of our new colourist/stylist Melissa.

After creating a blonde base with bleach, Melissa then used Crazy Color to produce this super vibrant pink that looks great in the summer sun. She did a lighter pink around the face to give the colour some dimension and Melissa says that pink is the easiest colour to change once you don't want it anymore, as it fades super quick compared to other vivid colours so its perfect if you want to have a colour just for a festival or a party.

Another vivd colour this this from the third of our new colourist/stylists Deborah.

This clever colour was created only with use of high lift tint and not bleach,

Deborah first lightly lifted the mid lengths and ends, then applied Crazy Color Red on the roots and mid lengths.

On the ends she blended red with a small amount of black, for a dark deep burgundy effect. She finished the look of by styling with soft waves to show the blend.

This look is great for a festival or a party,

Neil clippered this hair down to a number 4 on the top and faded the sides down to a no guard.

To amp this haircut up Neil decided to do a colouring technique called show shining.

This is where you either paint bleach ( for a blonde look) or tint with a colour of your choice onto a long piece of foil.

Next he rubbed the foil across the surface of the shot hair on top exactly how you would shine a shoe with a cloth.

As you can see with the final result Neil used bleach to create this colour tipping technique, which is fun for a festival. The great thing about this technique is that it is not a crazy commitment and within 1 haircut, the colour will be gone and you can start again with another colour.

We hope you've enjoyed these ideas and will take some inspiration from them

We are always here at the studio, if you wish for one of the team to create similar looks on yourself.
