July Magazine Covers & How To Achieve The Hair

Our colourist stylist Daniel brings to you another round up of all the latest glossy mag covers, with his how to's on getting the hair in the image

British Vogue features Zoe Kravitz on the cover wearing a relaxed, natural ponytail with

textured braids and a lived-in finish. Throughout the editorial, the hair remains effortlessly

undone, with side partings, soft hair swept back, and plenty of product creating texture and

movement rather than a polished finish.

To recreate the look, apply Davines Mousse to damp hair and diffuse until dry. Create a few

small braids throughout the hair before gathering it into a loose, natural ponytail. Pull out a

few pieces around the face to soften the shape and finish with styling products to enhance

the textured, lived-in effect.

Elle UK stars Zendaya with a short, body-filled bob that feels polished while still embracing

natural movement. As the editorial progresses, the bob shows more texture, creating an

effortless, modern finish.

To achieve this look, apply Davines Volu Spray together with Oil Non Oil before blow drying

with a large round brush to build volume. Once the hair has cooled, use your hands to

gently break up the shape and finish with a texture spray through the roots for added

movement.

Harper's Bazaar

Greta Lee appears on the cover of Harper's Bazaar wearing soft, natural hair with a textured

fringe and delicate face framing. Throughout the story, the hair remains understated and

effortless, with subtle texture.

To recreate the look, prepare the hair with Davines Primer Spray before drying. For naturally

curly or textured hair, use Love Smoothing Perfector from Davines to create a softer finish

while maintaining movement. Complete the style with Davines Shimmering Mist for a

healthy, natural shine.

Marie Claire features Dove Cameron with a centre parting and soft waves that have a

product-rich finish. The look is smooth with waves adding elegance without feeling overly

styled.

To recreate the look, apply Davines OI All In One Milk before blow drying the hair smooth

using a flat brush to reduce volume. Create loose waves with a large barrel curling tong,

then gently separate them with your fingers and finish with Davines OI Oil for a soft, glossy

finish.

STYLE

Taloma Benson is on the cover wearing a defined centre parting with barely there waves

throughout the hair, while the face framing is left a little more defined to add shape and

movement.

To achieve this look, apply Davines Mousse and blow dry the hair. If you have naturally curly

hair, smooth it slightly with Love smoothing perfector. Once the hair is dry, use a curling

tong and take random sections, wrapping each one around the barrel for just a few seconds

without allowing the curl to fully set. Break up the waves with Davines OI Oil, then go back

and redefine the face framing so it has a little more wave than the rest of the hair. Finish

with Davines Texture Spray for a soft, effortless texture.
