NEW YORK

Khaite
Khaite played with texture and proportion, moving between natural movement
with side parting, a lot of texture and some seriously oversized textured hair-
ups to give a more editorial feel to the hair.

COS
At COS, hair felt very natural and uncomplicated. Side partings appeared
throughout, with hair simply falling behind the shoulders. There was very little
sense of over-styling, allowing the natural texture and movement of the hair to
do most of the work.

Carolina Herrera
Carolina Herrera moved between two very different finishes. Bouncy,
beautifully blow-dried hair brought softness and glamour, while the alternative
was much cleaner: slick hair pulled into a bun with a strong, defined centre
parting. Two opposing ideas, but both very polished.
LONDON

Simone Rocha
For Spring 27, Simone Rocha showed us architectural and sophisticated
hair with a very polished finish. Off-centre partings and natural hair sat
alongside more sculptural shapes, giving the hair a strong editorial feel
without becoming too perfect. Although the more architectural look is very
difficult to achieve on your own, it leaves us with a wonderful reference for
party hair. To achieve the more natural look shown in the show, I would
recommend OI Milk from Davines. Dry the hair with a big round brush, or
leave it to dry naturally, applying OI Oil to the ends of the hair to create a
more polished look.

Chopova Lowena
Much more editorial and full of character. Hair pieces, gel and curls created
different shapes throughout the show, celebrating individuality rather than
one uniform look. These looks are just inspiration that you can take and
use to create your own version. It is very editorial, with a lot happening,
including braids, gelled looks and curled gel looks. It really is a case of
taking it and having fun with it, with your own interpretation.

Mark Fast
Bohemian and sensual, with soft movement and a slightly 70s feeling, but
still very modern. The volume was deliberately broken down, giving the hair
that lived-in glamour rather than a perfect blow-dry. Neil Moodie referenced
early Veruschka images from the 70s as the inspiration, using K18 dry
shampoo to deconstruct the volume and make it feel more lived-in. The looks
varied from flowing hair down to the 60's High Ponytail
To achieve this look, use Davines Volumizing Mousse and blow-dry the
hair in rollers. Once the rollers are out, use a texture spray or dry shampoo
on the hair to give it volume and texture, while still keeping the movement Tie high
the crown for the ponylook. .

Burberry
Burberry Spring 27 had very natural and individual hair. Natural textures
were left to behave as they wanted, with some hair loosely pulled into
simple ponytails. Nothing felt forced or overly styled, continuing that idea of
making the model look like herself rather than creating one hairstyle for
everyone. To achieve this look, it really depends on what hair you have!
While some people can just let their hair dry more naturally, others will
have to use a little more product to manage the hair. A good tip is to use
Davines LOVE Smoothing Cream while the hair is still wet, then dry it to the
desired result. It is a lightweight moisturising cream that works on most
textures.
